Life at Mysore

I was back at mysore after a period of nearly two years and I still remembered the way to my place though I could not keep in mind its name. I reached mysore on a Tuesday evening and I decided to surprise my friends about my coming. I reached the place and was waiting for my friends to arrive. I waited and waited for an hour before I lost my cool and called one of my friends. He asked me where I was and I told him that I was waiting at his doorsteps for an hour and this really surprised them and they were excited and I could here some one shouting on the other end. Soon a black Zen Estillo stopped before the house and five guys jumped out of it and rounded me in a flash and soon we were hugging and shaking hands with each other. Soon more guys joined us at our place.
We all left for dinner at around nine at night and were back at midnight. After a wonderful nights sleep, we all reached office at eleven thirty and were out in an hour for lunch. The lunch break lasted for two hours and the coffee break for one hour. That was the first time I ever travelled miles in a car for a cup of coffee. The cute little car has become one of the family member and accompanied us where ever we went. The day at office usually ends with a work out at the gym and swimming at the pool. We always went to the costliest hotels and resturants acoss mysore and I could start feeling the pinch in my pocket and I was left wondering how my friends could afford such a luxurious life style with their Indian salaries.
Most nights has devotional and classical singing accompanied by two guitars, a keyboard and a tabala. Skaraia, Arun and Siju had the wonderful voice and Shino rocked the guitar while the tabala was played by Siju. I was the only one who couldn’t do any of these, so the best thing that I could do was listen and enjoy. ‘Ramani’ was the song that amused me and I tried singing it. I would never forget the day when the front tyre of the car burst while I was driving on the KRS road.Three weeks at mysore passed like a breeze and my heart was heavy on the last day and I never felt like leaving that wonderful place. Skaria and Shino dropped me at the bus stop early in the morning and I took the first bus to bangalore.
My wonderful roomies are Skaria, Sushil, Shino, Rakesh and Abilash. Siju and Arun visited us very often. I missed the company of Srinkanth, the Comamnder and Sugand, the gundan very much on this visit to mysore and looking forward for Skaria's new Honda city car that will be waiting for us at Mysore.
