When the salary strikes

After working hard for a month, the sweet reward was received in the form of salary on 31st July. Money was overflowing from all directions and plans for spending all of them were devised much earlier.
On this happy occasion, Lijo decided to treat all his friends. So we set out to Namaskar India, a restaurant nearby which serves Indian food. Lijo and Ajit were already on a high and still they wanted to consume liquor at the restaurant. They ordered some whiskey and waited impatiently for their drinks to arrive. Prashanth and I ordered a lassi each and were given some thing which was white in colour. Then later we came to know that only one lassi was available at the restaurant and the waitress divided the lassi equally and added some water to make it into two glasses.
Lots of food was spread on the table and a meal is never complete till one digs into the plates of all others sitting at the table. A single cup of tea placed before me at the end of the dinner was a surprise.
By 11.00 PM we were back at home and were on the bed watching ‘Meesa Madhavan’ and soon were in deep sleep and were dreaming of the next month’s salary.
