Unprepared for the cold winters.

I was fully prepared for the cold winters before arriving into the UK. Thermals, sweaters, jackets and woolen gloves accompanied me along with my other luggage. I landed in the Heathrow airport terminal 3 after a nine hour long flight from Mumbai. I had to fly an hour from Hyderabad to reach Mumbai.
There was no delay at the immigration check as I was entering the country for the second time. ‘I was on a holiday for one and a half months’ was the reply given to the surprised immigration officer. I collected my luggage and headed straight to the Heathrow express after purchasing my tickets. This time I had the confidence of taking my own means of travel apart from a taxi as I had a good experience of traveling across UK and London. I got down at the Liverpool Street and boarded a rail to Ipswich. I hired a taxi at the station and reached the address given to me by Nitin. I just dumped my luggage in the room given to me and pulled the warm duvets over me for a cozy nights sleep.

The next day I woke up early and left to office along with Gaurav. The whole day was uneventful but for the night which came too early. By 4.30 PM everything was dark and I felt depressed on seeing this. I was prepared for the cold, but wasn’t mentally prepared for this degree of freezing cold and darkness.
