Every one was all excited to go out on a weekend. On that particular day, 5 friends who never used to be out of their beds before 9'0 clock, were all ready and set to go for a ride by 8'o clock. We started our car, loaded with numerous maps and food stuffs to eat. As the engine roared, our day started and we looked out for lots of fun to come our way.
I have never heard of any one who never lost his way even with all the huge sign boards and other navigational gadgets in the United Kingdom. Though we lost our ways on the highways and other country roads, we were on our way to the historical place, the Stonehenge.
Our first stop was at a small cafe, where the hot English tea lifted our spirits. soon we were on our way. we visited the Flying museum and saw all the flying machines that roared the skies in the world wars. The Stonehenge was visible from a few miles away. it was located on an elevated patch of land. the land was all green and we shelled out a few pounds and went inside the barricades, near to the stones. The picture which i had seen only on the windows XP desktop was now visible before my very eyes. it was a wonderful feeling that was felt by everyone who visited this place.
soon all the cameras were clicking and everyone was striking a different pose before the cameras.
After leaving that site of historical importance, we felt the real pain of the loss of money. It was just a pile of stones and lots of stories on the stones. I would have never spent a penny to visit such a site any where else in the world, but this, I was forced to visit.
The next stop was at the 'Old Sarum'. it was a real scenic place with plain green land all around. the game of football made us exhausted. The old fort, the treasury and the other remains of the wonderful place was a truly awesome sight.
We had our dinner at 'Salisbury' and we started our journey back.
