A new phone arrives

I was allocated a new desk at Bangalore; in fact I never had one at Bangalore. The most important item was missing at the desk, a phone. Immediately a request was raised for a phone and it arrived in two days. A service person was at my desk with the phone and he connected the equipment and told that it will take some time for the phone to register itself. I was eagerly waiting for the registration to complete and was irritated to see the message 'registration failed due to security issue'. I took the handle of the phone to check if there was any tone in it but to my surprise the handle was not connected to the base, the wire was missing. I could control the giggles and anger. So I will have to wait for some more time to get the phone working.
