Chinese New Year Day at Melbourne

The only thing that I am afraid to share with my friend Jeevan is his food. Not fearing that I am going to be whacked if I put my hands in his lunch, but the kind of food stuff that he eats scares me out of my skins. This eater wouldn’t shy away from eating any thing that walks, creeps or crawls. I often think that china or some similar place would suit him better than India or other places where normal food is eaten every day.

I had the worst time when Jeevan and I visited a Chinese food festival on the Chinese New Year day. I could see millions of faces that looked alike gobbling food like stuff which made me weak in my stomach. As we were walking together, I suddenly lost sight my friend and as I was searching for him in the multitude, he arrived with some food stuff and was generous to offer that to me. I resisted even smelling that stuff but I could see him relishing that stuff that looked like kebabs. I asked him what was that and how did it taste like. ‘Its very good’ was the words that I could here from his mouth while he was munching. I moved my eyes from him only to see a small girl eating an octopus like animal. An octopus…, I just had to run away from the place to safety out of reach of the tentacles of the monster.
