On a lazy Sunday afternoon the engines of the car roared and the music was pumped high in the car and two guys Rahul and Sunil hopped into the car and Ayoob the driver of the car stepped on the gas to speed away from 24 Williamson. We had pinky, our trusted GPS who was directing us towards the windmill. Soon we hit the country roads and our pinky was confused about the directions and began to go crazy. So we shut her off and started to look out for the directions on the sign boards. The windmill was standing tall guarding a field. We reached the foot of the windmill to learn that the key to the ancient windmill lies in pub nearby. So we rushed to that pub and took the key along after depositing a security amount. We couldn’t wait to open the old doors or the windmill and it was
so intriguing. We finally managed to open the doors and get in. it was dark and spooky inside. The mechanics of the windmill were all open inside. We felt that history was again open to us after a long period of hiding in darkness. We sat outside the windmill for a long time till all the blues of the past week were swept away by the cold breeze. We all felt happy and fulfilling to visit such a monument which still stood to tell the story of time.

is this the oldest windmill in Bedford?
This could also be one of the oldest windmill which still survives in England.
